F-Series BMW Error: Drive Train Malfunction

After flashing the vehicle with the Tuned files customer sometimes see a "Drive Train Malfunction" warning on the dash. This most commonly occurs when the vehicles "Coding Data" is not properly written to the vehicle.

Fix: Write the coding data back onto the vehicle

Using the latest version of the BMW Flashing App available at downloads.vfe1.com/

Arrive at the "Identification Details" page of the flashing app, Click on "Diagnostic" button

Now click on the option to "Write Coding Data" coding and select the coding file originally read when you submitted your software request.

When the file has successfully programmed, 'Turn OFF' the ignition for 10 sec.

Now start the vehicle, 'Drive Train Malfunction' will disappear.
